* Fix issue when running make distcheckStephen Gallagher2012-05-151-0/+1
| | | | | | | | When running 'make distcheck', all files in the $srcdir are set to read-only, to ensure that the build does not modify the source. However, this broke our ability to test file permissions. We will now copy the file to the builddir and do the tests there, where we have control.

* Introducing configuration file objectDmitri Pal2010-09-221-0/+1
| | | | | | | | The patch contains two major pieces of work: * The beginning of the new INI interface significantly re-thought and reworked. * The implementation of the file object. Parsing was adjusted to use this object.
* Starting to consolidate the new interface in one placeDmitri Pal2010-09-221-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | I realized that the new high level interface should be defined in one file instead of being scattered in many headers. I would have to eventuallu eliminate ini_configobj.h too and move everything to the new interface in ini_config.h. This patch renames couple functions to be consistent with the naming convention and removes ini_parse.h header.
* New INI parserDmitri Pal2010-09-221-4/+17
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The parser is added to the existing module. The old parsing functuion will be removed when we switch to the new interface. Parser logic: * There is one high level function that wraps the parser interface. It is at the bottom of the module. ini_parse_config(); * Internally it creates a perser object and then runs parser on it. * At the end parser object is destroyed. * This object stores the state of the parser. * The parser has an action queue * There are several actions that parser can perform - read line - inspect read line - record an error - process last comment in the file (POST) * Each action handler determines what to do next depending upon what has happened. * Read handler reads lines and enqueues inspection action in case of success or error action in case of failure. * Inspection action parses last read line and treats it either is a: * Comment * Section * New key + value * Continuation of the value In case of error the error action is enqueued. * Error can be fatal or non fatal. It depend on the error_level flag passed in. If the error is non fatal the read action is enqueued otherwise parser stops. * The POST action is a special action to handle comment at the bottom of the file. The comment is stored with the value it preceeds so in case there is a comment at the bottom of the file a special value needs to be created to hold just the comment.
* More config files for testingDmitri Pal2010-09-221-2/+4

* Introducing Value objectDmitri Pal2010-09-221-3/+18
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Value object is an object that combines a potentially multiline value comment and some statistical information regarding a configuration value. Patch includes: Source Header Unit test Makefile changes
* Introducing basic objectsDmitri Pal2010-09-221-1/+28
| | | | The first basic object is extensible buffer.
* Build all of the ding-libs from the rootding_libs-0_1_0Stephen Gallagher2010-09-221-0/+282
| | | | | This changes our approach from having independent tarballs to having a single, monolithic tarball for all of the libraries
* Remove toplevel MakefileStephen Gallagher2010-08-101-33/+0
| | | | All libraries should be built individually now.
* Fixing buildDmitri Pal2010-04-141-2/+2

* Adding interface documentationDmitri Pal2010-04-081-1/+1
| | | | Package refarray documentation by default

* Remove ELAPI from the SSSD repositoryStephen Gallagher2010-02-121-4/+2
| | | | | ELAPI now lives in its own project at https://fedorahosted.org/ELAPI
* REFARRAY: New referenced array objectDmitri Pal2010-01-211-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This object allows creation the arrays with the reference count. Usefull when there are many instances of some object have to reference dynamically allocated array which is common for all these instances. In case of ELAPI the event object keeps a referecne to the common array of the sinks in the fail over order. We decided that it will be a common object not specific only to ELAPI. All the review concerns related to this object have been addressed in this patch. It also has been moved to the common area.
* Revert "Remove ELAPI from build and tarball"Stephen Gallagher2009-12-011-2/+3
| | | | This reverts commit 9a446ad6d6445ed22f0d5132a241a3c8be5e1008.
* Remove ELAPI from build and tarballStephen Gallagher2009-12-011-3/+2
| | | | | | Until such time as ELAPI is in a usable state, it makes no sense to be building and distributing it in the tarball. This patch will disable it from building and inclusion in the tarball.
* Include m4 directories in tarballStephen Gallagher2009-09-151-0/+4
| | | | Necessary for RPM builds on RHEL5
* Add 'make tests' targetStephen Gallagher2009-09-111-0/+5

* ELAPI First part of the interfaceDmitri Pal2009-07-151-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | This is just a part of the interface, a beginning. Most likely some of the functions will be altered but it is a starting point. For example in future there will be a way to override some of the parts of the default template using the application configuration file. Removed obfuscation of the data types based on discussion with Simo.
* add path_utils filesystem path manipulation utility functionsJohn Dennis2009-07-151-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | remove trace macro, not needed modifications to satisfy Stephen's checkin review correct spelling of PATH_UTILS_ERROR_NOT_FULLY_NORMALIZED add checks for truncation, return error add checks for getcwd errors modify (dst >= dst_end) test to be (dst > dst_end) remove all use of tabs remove all trailing whitespace add missing truncation check after strncpy() Fix path_utils.pc Also correct a minor typo.
* Clean up automake build to work on older versions of libtoolStephen Gallagher2009-05-261-8/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | LT_INIT is supported only on Libtool >= 2.0, so I reverted it to using AC_PROG_LIBTOOL. Also reorganized how the common libraries were being built. Now they are treated as libtool convenience libraries instead of installable libraries (the --with-singlelib configure flag can still be used to generate a combined, installable DSO) I cleaned up the set of files being installed by automake, so the list of things we need to remove before packaging the RPM is now only the .la files associated with our own plugins.
* Enable building a single libsssd_utils.so from commonStephen Gallagher2009-05-141-1/+18

* Enable modular build of common SSSD librariesStephen Gallagher2009-05-141-0/+1
| | | | | | Allow configuration and build of individual SSSD utility libraries from their own subdirectories. Building all utilities is still possible recursively from the common root.
* add dynamic hash table data structure implementationJohn Dennis2009-04-221-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Apply suggested fixes by Simo after code review * return statements no longer use () unless it's an expression * remove all use of assert() in library * use bool,true,false instead of int,TRUE,FALSE * add check for NULL hash table in public entry points * example code in header file now a seperate file * assure consistent use of unsigned long data type * add more debugging support * break out generation of integer key into convert_key() function * table parameters now tunable rather than hardcoded * table can now accept custom alloc()/free() functions * add function create_table_ex() to pass extra table parameters * remove MUL(), DIV(), MOD() macros * hash statistics now separate struct which can be queried * test program now accepts tuning parameters, iteration count; has better error checking and reporting fix min/max load factor comman line args in test program
* Build system improvements for common toolsStephen Gallagher2009-04-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Allows building shared or static libraries using autotools and provides a pkg-config file to simplify inclusion into other parts of the project (or other projects in the future) For now, we will statically link the collection library and INI parser.
* Fix build system for Collection and INI parser.Stephen Gallagher2009-04-061-1/+1
| | | | | | Adds ini subdirectory so it will be built, adds some clarification to the README, makes the configure --help more clear about the trace level and enables -Wall reporting.
* First commit of basic collection API.Dmitri Pal2009-04-061-0/+1
