* Maint: Remove Indirector::Request objects from HTTP Handler and API V1Jesse Wolfe2010-11-021-89/+0
| | | | | | | This is a maintenance refactor to reduce the dependencies between the rest API and the implementation of the Indirector. The HTTP Handler code was creating temporary Request objects that were not actually being passed to the Indirector.
* [#4284] Fix failing specs run as root due to missing puppet groupNick Lewis2010-08-031-0/+1
| | | | | | | These specs 'use' some settings which create directories belonging to the 'service' user/group. If the default service group doesn't exist, these fail. This patch explicitly sets the service group to the gid of the process, which is known to be accessible by the user.
* Code smell: Two space indentationMarkus Roberts2010-07-091-78/+78
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Replaced 106806 occurances of ^( +)(.*$) with The ruby community almost universally (i.e. everyone but Luke, Markus, and the other eleven people who learned ruby in the 1900s) uses two-space indentation. 3 Examples: The code: end # Tell getopt which arguments are valid def test_get_getopt_args element = Setting.new :name => "foo", :desc => "anything", :settings => Puppet::Util::Settings.new assert_equal([["--foo", GetoptLong::REQUIRED_ARGUMENT]], element.getopt_args, "Did not produce appropriate getopt args") becomes: end # Tell getopt which arguments are valid def test_get_getopt_args element = Setting.new :name => "foo", :desc => "anything", :settings => Puppet::Util::Settings.new assert_equal([["--foo", GetoptLong::REQUIRED_ARGUMENT]], element.getopt_args, "Did not produce appropriate getopt args") The code: assert_equal(str, val) assert_instance_of(Float, result) end # Now test it with a passed object becomes: assert_equal(str, val) assert_instance_of(Float, result) end # Now test it with a passed object The code: end assert_nothing_raised do klass[:Yay] = "boo" klass["Cool"] = :yayness end becomes: end assert_nothing_raised do klass[:Yay] = "boo" klass["Cool"] = :yayness end
* [#3994-part 2] rename integration tests to *_spec.rbMarkus Roberts2010-06-281-0/+0
| | | | | | | | | Some spec files like active_record.rb had names that would confuse the load path and get loaded instead of the intended implentation when the spec was run from the same directory as the file. Author: Matt Robinson <matt@puppetlabs.com> Date: Fri Jun 11 15:29:33 2010 -0700
* Fix #1842 Net::HTTP#enable_post_connection_check doesn't work anymoreJesse Wolfe2010-01-301-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | The setting enable_post_connection_check doesn't exist on very many versions of ruby, and on those systems there's no way to disable domain name checking on HTTPS. The recommended work-around is to replace certificates when they have incorrect hostnames. Signed-off-by: Jesse Wolfe <jes5199@gmail.com>

* Refactor rest authorization to raise exceptions deeperBrice Figureau2009-04-231-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The idea is to raise an AuthorizationException at the same place we check the authorization instead of in an upper level to be able to spot where the authorization took place in the exception backtrace. Moreover, this changes also makes Rights::allowed? to return the matching acl so that the upper layer can have a chance to report which ACL resulted in the match. * Fixing #1557 - Environments are now in REST URIsLuke Kanies2009-03-201-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit includes multiple, related changes, all in one commit because the whole thing was necessary to reach a functional tree again: * The URI starts with the environment, so: /production/certificate/foo /development/file_content/path/to/your/file * All REST handling is done by a single instance mounted at / for webrick and Mongrel, rather than having individual instances mounted at, say, /certificate. * All REST URI translation is done by an API module. Currently only the 'v1' module exists with no support for additional modules, but it's well-separated and will be easy to expand as we need it. Signed-off-by: Luke Kanies <luke@madstop.com>

All of the format work is done, they all support plaintext successfully, and I've got integration tests that demonstrate that it actually works. Signed-off-by: Luke Kanies <luke@madstop.com>
