* This is a large patch (sorry). Migrate from struct in_addrJeremy Allison2007-10-241-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | to struct sockaddr_storage in most places that matter (ie. not the nmbd and NetBIOS lookups). This passes make test on an IPv4 box, but I'll have to do more work/testing on IPv6 enabled boxes. This should now give us a framework for testing and finishing the IPv6 migration. It's at the state where someone with a working IPv6 setup should (theorecically) be able to type : smbclient //ipv6-address/share and have it work. Jeremy. * Modified fix for bugid #784. Based on a patch from moriyama@miraclelinux.com ↵Jeremy Allison2004-03-131-11/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | (MORIYAMA Masayuki). Don't use nstrings to hold workgroup and netbios names. The problem with them is that MB netbios and workgroup names in unix charset (particularly utf8) may be up to 3x bigger than the name when represented in dos charset (ie. cp932). So go back to using fstrings for these but translate into nstrings (ie. 16 byte length values) for transport on the wire. Jeremy. (This used to be commit b4ea493599ab414f7828b83f40a5a8b43479ff64)

| | | | | | | | | This fixes our netbios scope handling. We now have a 'netbios scope' option in smb.conf and the scope option is removed from make_nmb_name() this was prompted by a bug in our PDC finding code where it didn't append the scope to the query of the '*' name. * this is the bug change to using connection_struct* instead of cnum.Andrew Tridgell1998-08-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Connections[] is now a local array in server.c I might have broken something with this change. In particular the oplock code is suspect and some .dll files aren't being oplocked when I expected them to be. I'll look at it after I've got some sleep. Most of the calls which ignored the return value were not cast to void, so I added the cast. This helped me sort out which calls really did use the return value. I also discovered one case, in nmbd_winsserver.c, in which the return value was being stored to a variable which, in turn, was not used. Databases such as gdbm store information in [key, content] pairs. There is no functional change in with this update. It's just a step in the direction that Jeremy and I have been discussing. * This looks like a big change but really isn't.Jeremy Allison1998-04-251-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | It is changing the global variables "myname" and "myworkgroup" to "global_myname" and "global_myworkgroup" respectively. This is to make it very explicit when we are messing with a global (don't ask - it makes the domain client code much clearer :-). Jeremy.
