From e9c37113104c1cfb234535adc9b52ad3880a41ce Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Richard Jones Date: Fri, 12 Feb 2010 14:06:25 +0000 Subject: daemon: Don't need to prefix error messages with the command name. The RPC stubs already prefix the command name to error messages. The daemon doesn't have to do this. As a (small) benefit this also makes the daemon slightly smaller. Code in the daemon such as: if (argv[0] == NULL) { reply_with_error ("passed an empty list"); return NULL; } now results in error messages like this: > command "" libguestfs: error: command: passed an empty list (whereas previously you would have seen ..command: command:..) --- daemon/tar.c | 4 ++-- 1 file changed, 2 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) (limited to 'daemon/tar.c') diff --git a/daemon/tar.c b/daemon/tar.c index c3bdcf7e..ebcaded8 100644 --- a/daemon/tar.c +++ b/daemon/tar.c @@ -44,7 +44,7 @@ do_tar_in (const char *dir) if (!root_mounted || dir[0] != '/') { cancel_receive (); - reply_with_error ("tar-in: root must be mounted and path must be absolute"); + reply_with_error ("root must be mounted and path must be absolute"); return -1; } @@ -165,7 +165,7 @@ do_tgz_in (const char *dir) if (!root_mounted || dir[0] != '/') { cancel_receive (); - reply_with_error ("tar-in: root must be mounted and path must be absolute"); + reply_with_error ("root must be mounted and path must be absolute"); return -1; } -- cgit
