<title>Opening an Accessibility Tool</title>
<para>You can open an <guilabel>Accessibility</guilabel> preference tool in
the following ways: </para>

<para>Choose <menuchoice><guimenu>Applications</guimenu><guisubmenu>

</menuchoice>. Choose the preference tool that you require from the submenu.
The dialog for the tool is displayed.</para></listitem>
<listitem><para>From the <guilabel>Start Here</guilabel> location</para>
<para>Open a <application>Nautilus</application> window, then choose <menuchoice>
<guimenu>Go</guimenu><guimenuitem>Start Here</guimenuitem></menuchoice>.
Alternatively, double-click on the <guilabel>Start Here</guilabel> object
on the desktop background. The <guilabel>Start Here</guilabel> location is
displayed. Double-click on the <guilabel>Preferences</guilabel> object in
the <application>Nautilus</application> window, then double-click on the <guilabel>
Accessibility</guilabel> folder. The following figure shows the <guilabel>
Accessibility</guilabel> folder:</para>

option for an audible indication of key rejection. </para></listitem>

on your keyboard emulate mouse actions. You can specify the following mouse

<listitem><para><guilabel>Maximum pointer speed</guilabel>: Use this setting
to specify the maximum speed that the pointer moves across the screen. Setting
range: 1 to 100 pixels per second. </para></listitem>
<listitem><para><guilabel>Time to accelerate to maximum speed</guilabel>:
Use this setting to specify the duration of the acceleration time of the pointer.
Setting range: 10 to 5000 milliseconds. </para></listitem>
<listitem><para><guilabel>Start moving this long after keypress</guilabel>:
Use this setting to specify the period of time that must pass after a keypress
before the pointer moves. Setting range: 10 to 5000 milliseconds. </para>

<entry colname="COLSPEC1"><para>The test area is an interactive interface
so you can see how the keyboard settings affect the display as you type. Type

option for an audible indication of a keypress. </para></listitem>
<listitem><para><guilabel>Beep when key is accepted</guilabel>: Select this

<listitem><para><guilabel>Beep when key is rejected</guilabel>: Select this

<listitem><para><guilabel>Turn off Sticky Keys when two pressed simultaneously</guilabel>: Select this option to specify when you press two keys simultaneously,
you can no longer press keys in sequence to perform multiple simultaneous
keypresses.</para></listitem>

tool to set your general accessibility preferences.</para>

Misc</guilabel> tabbed section of the <application>Keyboard Accessibility
</application> dialog.</para>
