When in the Activities overview, Type to search users and groups. This will open the Users Administration Tool.

Click on Add. You will be prompted for your password.

In the Create a new user dialog, enter the new user's Name, and choose a Username. Some options for usernames are offered in the Username dropdown menu.

Usernames must consist of a combination of any of the following:

lower case letters from the English alphabet

digits

any of ".", "-" and "_"

Click Ok.

Set the New password and Confirmation of password. Passwords have to be a minimum of 5 characters in length. Make sure the password confirmation matches the New password. You have the option to Generate random password.

Click Ok. The new user has been added to your computer.

This method will also allow you to create a guest account, allowing you to let someone else use your computer without giving them access to any of your files. Eventually, you may want to delete a guest account.

Add A Group

When in the Activities overview, Type to search users and groups. This will open the Users Administration Tool.

Click on Manage Groups.

Click Add. You will be prompted for your password to Authenticate.

Click Ok.

Click Add.

Enter Group Name.

A valid group name consisting of a lower case letter followed by lower case letters and numbers.

Click Ok.

Add users to the group.
