Click AltF1 or the windows, or touch the pointer to the hot corner to enter the Activities overview.

Type sound.

Click on the Sound icon under Preferences.

Select the Sound Effects tab in the Sound Preferences window.

You can change which sound is made by changing the Sound Theme. Choose a Sound Theme other than No sounds.

Check Enable window and button sounds.

Make sure that the Alert volume andOutput volume are turned up and that Mute is not checked.

Click Close.
