If you deleted a file in the File Manager using the Delete key or the Move to Trash option in the right-click menu, the file should be in the Trash bin. To access the Trash:

Press AltF2.

Type /home. The File Manager.

In the Places menu in the side pane, click on Trash.

If your deleted file is there, right-click on it and select Restore. It will be restored to the folder it originated from.

If you deleted the file using Shiftdelete, or from the commandline, the file can't be recovered using this method.
