+ To search your computer for a program or application:

+ Enter the <gui> Activities </gui> overview by pressing <keyseq><key> Alt </key><key> F1 </key></keyseq> or by touching the cursor to the top left corner (a.k.a. the "hot" corner), or by pressing the Meta key.

+ Just start typing the name of the program or application you want to find. What you type will be entered in the <gui> Type to search </gui> box. As you type, programs and applications matching what you have typed will appear as you type.
