* [PATCH] dma-mapping.h stubs fixAl Viro2007-01-301-6/+6
| | | | | | | | do { } while(0) is not a good imitation of function returning void; use ((void)0) instead. Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* [PATCH] Pass struct dev pointer to dma_cache_sync()Ralf Baechle2006-12-071-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Pass struct dev pointer to dma_cache_sync() dma_cache_sync() is ill-designed in that it does not have a struct device pointer argument which makes proper support for systems that consist of a mix of coherent and non-coherent DMA devices hard. Change dma_cache_sync to take a struct device pointer as first argument and fix all its callers to pass it. * [PATCH] Add struct dev pointer to dma_is_consistent()Ralf Baechle2006-12-071-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | dma_is_consistent() is ill-designed in that it does not have a struct device pointer argument which makes proper support for systems that consist of a mix of coherent and non-coherent DMA devices hard. Change dma_is_consistent to take a struct device pointer as first argument and fix the sole caller to pass it. * [POWERPC] Add an optional offset to direct DMA on 64 bitsBenjamin Herrenschmidt2006-12-041-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds an optional global offset that can be added to DMA addresses when using the direct DMA operations. That brings it a step closer to the 32 bits direct DMA operations, and makes it useable on Cell when the MMU is disabled and we are using a spider southbridge. * [POWERPC] Refactor 64 bits DMA operationsBenjamin Herrenschmidt2006-12-041-39/+141
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch completely refactors DMA operations for 64 bits powerpc. 32 bits is untouched for now. We use the new dev_archdata structure to add the dma operations pointer and associated data to struct device. While at it, we also add the OF node pointer and numa node. In the future, we might want to look into merging that with pci_dn as well. The old vio, pci-iommu and pci-direct DMA ops are gone. They are now replaced by a set of generic iommu and direct DMA ops (non PCI specific) that can be used by bus types. The toplevel implementation is now inline. * [PATCH] remove bogus asm/bug.h includes.Al Viro2006-02-071-1/+0
| | | | | | | A bunch of asm/bug.h includes are both not needed (since it will get pulled anyway) and bogus (since they are done too early). Removed. Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk>

| * [PATCH] powerpc: sanitize header files for user space includesArnd Bergmann2006-01-091-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | include/asm-ppc/ had #ifdef __KERNEL__ in all header files that are not meant for use by user space, include/asm-powerpc does not have this yet. This patch gets us a lot closer there. There are a few cases where I was not sure, so I left them out. I have verified that no CONFIG_* symbols are used outside of __KERNEL__ any more and that there are no obvious compile errors when including any of the headers in user space libraries.
