| | | | | | | A couple of drivers have leftovers from netdev ops conversion. Signed-off-by: Stephen Hemminger <shemminger@vyatta.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* netdev: add missing set_mac_address hookStephen Hemminger2009-01-111-0/+1
| | | | | | | | Many drivers lost the ability to set ethernet address accidently during the net_device_ops conversion. Signed-off-by: Stephen Hemminger <shemminger@vyatta.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

* net: convert print_mac to %pMJohannes Berg2008-10-271-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | This converts pretty much everything to print_mac. There were a few things that had conflicts which I have just dropped for now, no harm done. I've built an allyesconfig with this and looked at the files that weren't built very carefully, but it's a huge patch. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes@sipsolutions.net> Signed-off-by: David S. * 8390: Split 8390 support into a pausing and a non pausing driver coreAlan Cox2008-07-041-7/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Only a few ISA controllers need the pausing version of the 8390 core while PCMCIA, later ISA and PCI do not. More importantly the ISA delays can break non ISA boxes so we must use a different build of 8390.c for the two sets of controllers. No changes since last time as all the points of concerns raised proved to be invalid Signed-off-by: Alan Cox <alan@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Randy Dunlap <randy.dunlap@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Jeff Garzik <jgarzik@redhat.com>

* [NET]: Nuke SET_MODULE_OWNER macro.Ralf Baechle2007-10-101-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | It's been a useless no-op for long enough in 2.6 so I figured it's time to remove it. The number of people that could object because they're maintaining unified 2.4 and 2.6 drivers is probably rather small. * [PATCH] kill eth_io_copy_and_sum()Al Viro2007-02-091-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | On all targets that sucker boils down to memcpy_fromio(sbk->data, from, len). The function name is highly misguiding (it _never_ does any checksums), the last argument is just a noise and simply expanding the call to memcpy_fromio() gives shorter and more readable source. For a lot of reasons it has almost no remaining users, so it's better to just outright kill it. * [netdrvr] Fix register_netdev() races in older ISA net drivers2005-05-121-10/+6

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
