* | [IA64] Fix 2.6 kernel for the new ia64 assembler | H. J. Lu | 2005-10-25 | 1 | -4/+12 |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The new ia64 assembler uses slot 1 for the offset of a long (2-slot) instruction and the old assembler uses slot 2. The 2.6 kernel assumes slot 2 and won't boot when the new assembler is used: http://sources.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1433 This patch will work with either slot 1 or 2. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip! |
