* [ARM] Add Integrator support for glibc outb() and friendsRussell King2006-08-281-0/+2
| | | | | | | Add the necessary call to register_isa_ports() so that glibc knows where these are found on Integrator platforms. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] 3739/1: genirq updates: irq_chip, add and use irq_chip.nameDavid Brownell2006-08-012-4/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch from David Brownell ARM genirq cleanups/updates: - Start switching platforms to newer APIs * use "irq_chip" name, not "irqchip" * providing irq_chip.name - Show irq_chip.name in /proc/interrupts, like on x86. This update a bit more than half of the ARM code. The irq_chip.name values were chosen to match docs (if I have them) or be otherwise obvious ("FPGA", "CPLD", or matching the code). Signed-off-by: David Brownell <dbrownell@users.sourceforge.net> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] ARM: fixup irqflags breakage after ARM genirq mergeThomas Gleixner2006-07-022-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | The irgflags consolidation did conflict with the ARM to generic IRQ conversion and was not applied for ARM. Fix it up. Use the new IRQF_ constants and remove the SA_INTERRUPT define Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

* [ARM] Fix Integrator and Versatile interrupt initialisationRussell King2006-06-101-4/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Both Integrator and Versatile were using set_irq_handler() and enable_irq(), and working around the initialisation of the chained interrupt, instead of the more correct set_irq_chained_handler() function. Fix Integrator and Versatile to use the right function, and remove these work-arounds. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The amba-pl010 hardware does not provide RTS and DTR control lines; it is expected that these will be implemented using GPIO. Allow platforms to supply a function to implement manipulation of modem control lines. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

* [PATCH] move rtc_interrupt() prototype to rtc.hAdrian Bunk2006-01-081-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch moves the rtc_interrupt() prototype to rtc.h and removes the prototypes from C files. It also renames static rtc_interrupt() functions in arch/arm/mach-integrator/time.c and arch/sh64/kernel/time.c to avoid compile problems. * [ARM] Move AMBA include files to include/linux/amba/Russell King2006-01-075-9/+9
| | | | | | | | | Since the ARM AMBA bus is used on MIPS as well as ARM, we need to make the bus available for other architectures to use. Move the AMBA include files from include/asm-arm/hardware/ to include/linux/amba/ Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Remove unused dma.c filesRussell King2006-01-041-35/+0
| | | | | | | CLPS711x, EPXA10DB and Integrator contained a dma.c file which has never been built. Remove these redundant files. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Remove clk_use()/clk_unuse()Russell King2006-01-031-11/+0
| | | | | | | | | It seems that clk_use() and clk_unuse() are additional complexity which isn't required anymore. Remove them from the clock framework to avoid the additional confusion which they cause, and update all ARM machine types except for OMAP. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

* | [PATCH] fix missing includesTim Schmielau2005-10-303-0/+3
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | I recently picked up my older work to remove unnecessary #includes of sched.h, starting from a patch by Dave Jones to not include sched.h from module.h. This reduces the number of indirect includes of sched.h by ~300. Another ~400 pointless direct includes can be removed after this disentangling (patch to follow later). However, quite a few indirect includes need to be fixed up for this. In order to feed the patches through -mm with as little disturbance as possible, I've split out the fixes I accumulated up to now (complete for i386 and x86_64, more archs to follow later) and post them before the real patch. This way this large part of the patch is kept simple with only adding #includes, and all hunks are independent of each other. So if any hunk rejects or gets in the way of other patches, just drop it. My scripts will pick it up again in the next round. * [ARM] Wrap calls to descriptor handlersRussell King2005-09-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | This is part of Thomas Gleixner's generic IRQ patch, which converts ARM to use the generic IRQ subsystem. Here, we wrap calls to desc->handler() in an inline function, desc_handle_irq(). This reduces the size of Thomas' patch since the changes become more localised. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM SMP] Ensure secondary CPUs see their pen releaseRussell King2005-07-291-0/+2
| | | | | | | | Since the secondary CPUs will not be operating in symetric mode while they are held in the pen, we need to ensure that the write to pen_release is visible to them, by flushing the cache. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

* [PATCH] ARM SMP: Initialise cpu_present_mapRussell King2005-07-111-2/+4

* [PATCH] ARM SMP: Rename cpu_present_mask to cpu_possible_mapRussell King2005-07-111-1/+1

* [PATCH] ARM: Convert ARM timer implementations to use readl/writelRussell King2005-06-291-28/+14
| | | | | | | | | | | | Convert ARMs timer implementations to use readl/writel instead of accessing the registers via a struct. People have recently asked if accessing timers via a structure is the "right way" and its not the Linux way. So fix this code to conform to "The Linux Way"(tm). Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk> Acked-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>
* [PATCH] ARM: Add SA_TIMER flag to timer interruptsRussell King2005-06-261-2/+2

* Linux-2.6.12-rc2v2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds2005-04-1617-0/+3184
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
