One of the macros did not work, when I turned on tracing.
The issue is that __FUNCTION__ should be treated as
a variable and not as macro.
This patch addressed the issue.

Fix license text for several files that should be LGPLv3+

Patch adds checks for NULL to the trace macros.
It also eliminates the unused trace.h in the collection directory.
