* Convert CONFIG_SYS_MMC_ENV_DEV et al to KconfigTom Rini2020-08-081-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_SYS_MMC_ENV_DEV CONFIG_SYS_MMC_ENV_PART Note that with this conversion we now have consistent behavior with respect to ensuring that we have always selected the correct MMC device and hardware partition. * env: Finish migration of common ENV optionsTom Rini2019-11-201-7/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms. * Convert CONFIG_ENV_SPI_* to KconfigPatrick Delaunay2019-03-251-5/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_ENV_SPI_BUS CONFIG_ENV_SPI_CS CONFIG_ENV_SPI_MAX_HZ CONFIG_ENV_SPI_MODE Most of time these value are not needed, CONFIG_SF_DEFAULT with same value is used, so I introduced CONFIG_USE_ENV_SPI_* to force the associated value for the environment. * configs: Migrate CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKSTom Rini2018-08-161-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | We have the following cases: - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was defined, migrate normally - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS_MAX was defined and then used for CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS after a check, just migrate it over now. - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was very oddly defined on p2771-0000-* (to 1024 + 2), set this to 8. * SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini2018-05-071-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | On the NIOS2 and Xtensa architectures, we do not have CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE set. This is a strict migration of the current values into the defconfig and removing them from the headers. I did not attempt to add more default values in and for now will leave that to maintainers. * Convert CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC/NAND/UBI and NOWHERE to KconfigSimon Glass2017-07-251-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_NAND CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_UBI CONFIG_ENV_IS_NOWHERE In fact this already exists for sunxi as a 'choice' config. However not all the choices are available in Kconfig yet so we cannot use that. It would lead to more than one option being set. In addition, one purpose of this series is to allow the environment to be stored in more than one place. So the existing choice is converted to a normal config allowing each option to be set independently. There are not many opportunities for Kconfig updates to reduce the size of this patch. This was tested with ./tools/moveconfig.py -i CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC And then manual updates. This is because for CHAIN_OF_TRUST boards they can only have ENV_IS_NOWHERE set, so we enforce that via Kconfig logic now. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Enable support for booting U-Boot image from ext filesystem when either SD/MMC or SATA support is compiled into the SPL. This will allow easy transition from loading U-Boot image from ad-hoc offset on the card to loading U-Boot image from the filesystem. VFAT support is intently not enabled. The boot order is tweaked so that raw is tested first and if the raw has no signature, FS boot is attempted. To install just the SPL on i.MX6 board, perform the following operation $ dd if=SPL of=/dev/sdX seek=2 bs=512 To install the U-Boot image, copy u-boot.img to the first partition of the SD/MMC/SATA drive. * Kconfig: Move CONFIG_FIT and related options to KconfigSimon Glass2016-03-141-4/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There are already two FIT options in Kconfig but the CONFIG options are still in the header files. We need to do a proper move to fix this. Move these options to Kconfig and tidy up board configuration: CONFIG_FIT CONFIG_OF_BOARD_SETUP CONFIG_OF_SYSTEM_SETUP CONFIG_FIT_SIGNATURE CONFIG_FIT_BEST_MATCH CONFIG_FIT_VERBOSE CONFIG_OF_STDOUT_VIA_ALIAS CONFIG_RSA Unfortunately the first one is a little complicated. We need to make sure this option is not enabled in SPL by this change. Also this option is enabled automatically in the host builds by defining CONFIG_FIT in the image.h file. To solve this, add a new IMAGE_USE_FIT #define which can be used in files that are built on the host but must also build for U-Boot and SPL. Note: Masahiro's moveconfig.py script is amazing. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The driver assumed that I2C1 and I2C2 were always enabled, and if they were not, then an asynchronous abort was (silently) raised, to be caught much later on in the Linux kernel. Fix this by making I2C1 and I2C2 optional just like I2C3 and I2C4 are. To make the change binary-invariant, declare I2C1 and I2C2 in every include/configs/ file which defines CONFIG_SYS_I2C_MXC. Also, while updating README about CONFIG_SYS_I2C_MXC_I2C1 and CONFIG_SYS_I2C_MXC_I2C2, add missing descriptions for I2C4 speed (CONFIG_SYS_MXC_I2C4_SPEED) and slave (CONFIG_SYS_MXC_I2C4_SLAVE) config options.
