* sf: Add a method to obtain the block-protect settingSimon Glass2018-11-201-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | It is useful to obtain the block-protect setting of the SPI flash, so we know whether it is fully open or (perhaps partially) write-protected. Add a method for this. Update the sandbox driver to process this operation and add a test. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* dm: spi: Add logging of some return valuesSimon Glass2018-10-091-3/+3
| | | | | | | | When SPI flash operations fail it is helpful to be able to see the error codes and where they are generated. Add logging to capture this information for read operations. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini2018-05-071-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* dm: core: Add flags parameter to device_remove()Stefan Roese2017-04-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds the flags parameter to device_remove() and changes all calls to this function to provide the default value of DM_REMOVE_NORMAL for "normal" device removal. This is in preparation for the driver specific pre-OS (e.g. DMA cancelling) remove support. * dm: spi_flash: Allow the uclass to work without printf()Simon Glass2016-01-151-1/+7
| | | | | | | For SPL we don't really need sprintf() and with tiny-printf this is not available. Allow this to be dropped in SPL when using tiny-printf. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

* dm: sf: Add support for all targets which requires MANUAL_RELOCMichal Simek2015-11-191-0/+23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | It is follow up patch based on "dm: Add support for all targets which requires MANUAL_RELOC" (sha1: 484fdf5ba058b07be5ca82763aa2b72063540ef3) to update function pointers for DM. Using post_bind is not ideal but it is one on current option what can be used. Variable reloc_done has to be used do not call relocation after every bind. Maybe new core functions should be introduced for this case. Signed-off-by: Michal Simek <michal.simek@xilinx.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

| | | | | | | Default name of spi flash like this "0:0", update it to "spi_flash@0:0". Signed-off-by: Haikun Wang <haikun.wang@freescale.com> Acked-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* dm: sf: Add driver model read/write/erase methodsSimon Glass2015-04-181-0/+16
| | | | | | | | Permit use of a udevice to talk to SPI flash. Ultimately we would like to retire the use of 'struct spi_flash' for this purpose, so create the new API for those who want to move to it. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* dm: core: Add dev_get_uclass_priv() to access uclass private dataSimon Glass2015-04-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Add a convenience function to access the private data that a uclass stores for each of its devices. Convert over most existing uses for consistency and to provide an example for others. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* dm: sf: Add a uclass for SPI flashSimon Glass2014-10-221-0/+63
Add a driver model uclass for SPI flash which supports the common operations (read, write, erase). Since we must keep support for the non-dm interface, some modification of the spi_flash header is required. CONFIG_DM_SPI_FLASH is used to enable driver model for SPI flash.
