* configs: omap3/35_logic and omap3/35_logic_somlv: Reduce SPL sizeAdam Ford2020-01-201-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently the DM37 and OMAP35 boards do not boot due to SPL bring too large. SPL doesn't need GPIO, I2C nor MMC sector access since it uses a FAT file system. This patch unifies all these boards to remove these unused features from their defconfigs Signed-off-by: Adam Ford <aford173@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Lokesh Vutla <lokeshvutla@ti.com>

* mtd: ensure MTD/the raw NAND core are compiled when there is a NAND flashMiquel Raynal2019-12-041-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Both symbols must be enabled when there is a raw NAND driver selected. Also enable them when CONFIG_CMD_NAND is selected to avoid breaking things when we'll further rework the MTD dependency description. * Revert "ARM: omap3_logic/omap35_logic: Enable GPIO in SPL"Adam Ford2019-11-071-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | The SPL is too tight, and it cannot start any longer. To help reduce the size of SPL, we need to remove some non-critical features. This reverts commit 66063a7c1388fb724e8671b03c529fb5cda992dd. Signed-off-by: Adam Ford <aford173@gmail.com>

* Convert CONFIG_USE_PREBOOT and CONFIG_PREBOOT to KconfigSimon Glass2019-08-021-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_USE_PREBOOT CONFIG_PREBOOT Both are together in one commit, since otherwise the former causes kconfig to define the latter, which gives duplicate symbol errors. Includes a manual fixup for CONFIG_PREBOOT in ids8313_defconfig since the backslash lands in the wrong place. Similarly with socfpga_vining_fpga. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* ARM: omap3/omap35_logic: Fix broken Logic PD Torpedo bootingAdam Ford2019-07-271-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | The SOM-LV and Torpedo boards are very similar, but something happened growing SPL enough to break the Torpedo. The SOM-LV board were not doing alias sequencing during SPL and they continue to work while something broke the Torpedo. This patch disables SPL_DM_SEQ_ALIAS allowing it to boot again. Signed-off-by: Adam Ford <aford173@gmail.com>
* ARM: omap3_logic & omap35_logic: Disable OMAP EHCI for TorpedoAdam Ford2019-07-271-0/+1
| | | | | | | | The OMAP35 and AM/DM37 Torpedo boards do not have a USB tranceiver connected to the USB host port, so this patch removes it from the defconfig files. Signed-off-by: Adam Ford <aford173@gmail.com>
* ARM: omap3_logic/omap35_logic: Enable GPIO in SPLAdam Ford2019-05-181-1/+0

* ARM: omap3_logic: Enable SPL booting device treeAdam Ford2019-02-191-1/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | With the generic omap3-u-boot.dtsi file available, this patch increased the memory of the various incarnations of the omap3_logic board, and points their respective u-boot.dtsi files to the newly created generic one, and removes the PLATDATA from the board file. These are all done at once because the're all utilizing the same omap3logic.c board file. Signed-off-by: Adam Ford <aford173@gmail.com>

* ARM: omap3_logic/omap35_logic: Move to DM_USBAdam Ford2018-12-121-9/+4
| | | | | | | | | The existing config is setup as a gadget but it doesn't use DM_USB. This patch converts all boards to DM_USB, but as host. As host, it is able to mount USB drives and browse them. Signed-off-by: Adam Ford <aford173@gmail.com>

* ARM: omap3_logic: Make CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE match README.omap3Adam Ford2018-11-161-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | README.omap3 has two options. For option 1, CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE is set to 0x80100000. Option 2 lists 0x80008000. The existing value is neither of these, so this patch makes it equivalent to Option 1. Signed-off-by: Adam Ford <aford173@gmail.com>
* configs: Migrate and re-enabled CONFIG_CMD_MTDPARTSTom Rini2018-11-141-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | Now that CMD_UBI does not select CMD_MTDPARTS we need to make platforms that had been enabling it turn it on by hand. This exposed that we had not yet migrated CMD_MTDPARTS fully, so do so now. Fixes: 86dfa556d927 ("cmd: ubi: Remove useless call to mtdparts_init()") Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

* ARM: omap3_logic: Enable DM_PMIC and DM_REGULATORAdam Ford2018-09-111-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | Enabling DM_PMIC, DM_REGULATOR_FIXED, and DM_REGULATOR_GPIO gives us the ability to better monitor voltages and enable hardware through the device tree. The TL4030 (TPS65950) is not yet migrated to DM, so this patch only enables the fixed and GPIO controlled regulators. Signed-off-by: Adam Ford <aford173@gmail.com>
* ARM: omap3_logic: Enable PinctrlAdam Ford2018-09-111-0/+2
| | | | | | | | The simple pinctrl driver currently available works with the omap3. Enabling this will use the device tree to automatically set the pin-muxing for various drivers. Signed-off-by: Adam Ford <aford173@gmail.com>
* ARM: omap3_logic_defconfig: Convert to DM_SPLAdam Ford2018-09-111-0/+3
| | | | | | | | The OF_CONTROL and OF_PLATDATA are not really useful without DM. This patch supports DM_SPL, but it requires manual references both Serial and MMC. Signed-off-by: Adam Ford <aford173@gmail.com>

* configs: Migrate CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKSTom Rini2018-08-161-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | We have the following cases: - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was defined, migrate normally - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS_MAX was defined and then used for CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS after a check, just migrate it over now. - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was very oddly defined on p2771-0000-* (to 1024 + 2), set this to 8. * configs: omap3_logic: Disable NAND ID during SPLAdam Ford2018-08-101-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | For these boards, the GPMC timings are more determined by processor speed/type than the NAND/PoP memory. This code is never invoked, so disable the config option, so it doesn't take the time to compile it in. Signed-off-by: Adam Ford <aford173@gmail.com>
* omap3_logic: Fix CONS_INDEXAdam Ford2018-08-101-1/+1
| | | | | | | | The console index for SPL should be 1 not 3 in order to see text during SPL. Fixes: 6f6b7cfa89e5 ("Convert all of CONFIG_CONS_INDEX to Kconfig") Signed-off-by: Adam Ford <aford173@gmail.com>
* configs: omap3_logic: Remove USB Storage and enable CONFIG_BLKAdam Ford2018-07-281-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | With the pending requirement for CONFIG_BLK, this patch removes the USB_STORAGE option which assumes that DM_USB is enabled, but isn't yet available for the omap2340 musb glue among other issues. Once the USB issues are resolved, a future patch can enable them again. Signed-off-by: Adam Ford <aford173@gmail.com>
* ARM: configs: omap3_logic: remove Legacy OMAP3 USB driverAdam Ford2018-07-231-1/+0
| | | | | | | | Only the MUSB driver is currently supported on the omap3_logic boards. The driver is using the new-musb and not the legacy version, so this patch removes the dead code references. Signed-off-by: Adam Ford <aford173@gmail.com>

* Convert CONFIG_SPI to KconfigAdam Ford2018-04-271-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_SPI This partly involves updating code that assumes that CONFIG_SPI implies things that are specific to the MPC8xx SPI driver. For now, just update the CONFIG tests. This also involves reworking the default for CONFIG_SYS_DEF_EEPROM_ADDR so that we don't set it when we cannot make a reasonable default, as it does not cause any compile failures. * Convert all of CONFIG_CONS_INDEX to KconfigTom Rini2018-03-161-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_CONS_INDEX We have existing entries for this option in a number of places, with different guards on them. They're also sometimes used for things not directly inside of the serial driver. First, introduce a new symbol to guard the use of CONFIG_CONS_INDEX, so that in the case where we don't need this for the serial driver, but for some other use, we can still do it. Next, consolidate all of these into the single entry in drivers/serial/Kconfig. Finally, introduce CONS_INDEX_[023456] so that we can imply a correct value here to make the defconfig side of this smaller. | | | | | | | | | With the introduction of ("Boards,Need,to,Switch,DM] spi: omap3_spi: Full dm conversion"), Driver Model for McSPI is now available on the omap3. * configs: Re-sync with CONFIG_DISTRO_DEFAULTSTom Rini2018-02-231-2/+2
| | | | | | | | A number of platforms include config_distro_defaults.h but do not enable CONFIG_DISTRO_DEFAULTS. As they plainly intended to, set that flag and re-sync config files. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* cmd: Make CONFIG_CMD_FPGA depend on CONFIG_FPGATuomas Tynkkynen2018-02-051-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | cmd/Makefile has: ifdef CONFIG_FPGA obj-$(CONFIG_CMD_FPGA) += fpga.o endif which means that if CONFIG_FPGA is not set, CONFIG_CMD_FPGA silently does nothing. Let's remove that Makefile conditional and instead express this equivalent dependency in Kconfig, so a lot of redundant # CONFIG_CMD_FPGA is not set can be removed from board defconfigs that don't actually have an FPGA.
