* mpc83xx: Add gazerbeam boardDirk Eibach2019-05-214-1/+210
| | | | | | | | | | | | The gdsys gazerbeam board is based on a Freescale MPC8308 SOC. It boots from NOR-Flash, kernel and rootfs are stored on SD-Card. On board peripherals include: - 2x 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet (optional) Signed-off-by: Dirk Eibach <dirk.eibach@gdsys.cc> Signed-off-by: Mario Six <mario.six@gdsys.cc>
* gdsys: mpc8308: Add FPGA flavor optionMario Six2019-05-211-0/+20
| | | | | | | | | More recent versions of IHS FPGAs feature a different memory layout. Add a Kconfig option to differentiate between the legacy layout, and the new layout (which is used on the upcoming "Gazerbeam" and later boards). Signed-off-by: Mario Six <mario.six@gdsys.cc>
* gdsys: Introduce GDSYS_LEGACY_DRIVERSMario Six2019-05-212-0/+16
| | | | | | | | | Future gdsys boards will switch from the legacy drivers in board/gdsys/common to DM-based drivers. Define a Kconfig option that disables the legacy drivers. Signed-off-by: Mario Six <mario.six@gdsys.cc>
* gdsys: mpc8308: Don't use manual RAM config if RAM driver is activeMario Six2019-05-211-0/+4
| | | | | | | | The "manual" RAM configuration should not be used if the DM RAM driver is active, hence, disable the code if the CONFIG_MPC83XX_SDRAM config variable is defined. Signed-off-by: Mario Six <mario.six@gdsys.cc>
* gdsys: mpc8308: Migrate SYS_FPGA{0, 1}_{BASE, SIZE} to KconfigMario Six2019-05-211-0/+22
| | | | | | | Move CONFIG_SYS_FPGA0_BASE, CONFIG_SYS_FPGA0_SIZE, CONFIG_SYS_FPGA1_BASE, and CONFIG_SYS_FPGA1_SIZE to Kconfig. Signed-off-by: Mario Six <mario.six@gdsys.cc>
* gdsys: mpc8308: Use shadow register for output GPIO valuesMario Six2019-05-214-3/+25
| | | | | | | | Since the gpio output status on MPC8xxx cannot be read back, it has to be buffered locally. Signed-off-by: Dirk Eibach <dirk.eibach@gdsys.cc> Signed-off-by: Mario Six <mario.six@gdsys.cc>

* SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini2018-05-075-11/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* Remove unnecessary instances of DECLARE_GLOBAL_DATA_PTRTom Rini2018-04-272-4/+0
| | | | | | | | We have a large number of places where while we historically referenced gd in the code we no longer do, as well as cases where the code added that line "just in case" during development and never dropped it. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* treewide: Fix gdsys mail addressesMario Six2018-03-095-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | The @gdsys.cc addresses are supposed to be used for mailing lists. Switch all occurrences of @gdsys.de mail addresses to their @gdsys.cc equivalent. Also, Dirk's address was wrong in one place; fix that as well. Signed-off-by: Mario Six <six@gdsys.cc>
* libfdt: move headers to <linux/libfdt.h> and <linux/libfdt_env.h>Masahiro Yamada2018-03-052-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Thomas reported U-Boot failed to build host tools if libfdt-devel package is installed because tools include libfdt headers from /usr/include/ instead of using internal ones. This commit moves the header code: include/libfdt.h -> include/linux/libfdt.h include/libfdt_env.h -> include/linux/libfdt_env.h and replaces include directives: #include <libfdt.h> -> #include <linux/libfdt.h> #include <libfdt_env.h> -> #include <linux/libfdt_env.h> Reported-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@bootlin.com> Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com>
* MAINTAINERS: Add missing boards and config entriesTom Rini2017-11-061-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | As part of my usual round of build testing, output about missing MAINTAINERS information was not logged, and thus often overlooked. Correct that mistake by ensuring that I log the output of genboardscfg.py every time. As part of that, address a number of missing MAINTAINERS entires. In the case of a missing file, I have put the original submitter down. In the rest of the cases I have added the config (and sometimes relevant header file) to the existing set of file globs. * env: Rename getenv/_f() to env_get()Simon Glass2017-08-162-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | We are now using an env_ prefix for environment functions. Rename these two functions for consistency. Also add function comments in common.h. Quite a few places use getenv() in a condition context, provoking a warning from checkpatch. These are fixed up in this patch also. Suggested-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* powerpc: remove 4xx supportHeiko Schocher2017-07-031-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | There was for long time no activity in the 4xx area. We need to go further and convert to Kconfig, but it turned out, nobody is interested anymore in 4xx, so remove it. Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de>
* Convert CONFIG_CMD_IOLOOP to KconfigSimon Glass2017-05-221-0/+5
| | | | | | | This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_CMD_IOLOOP Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* board_f: Rename initdram() to dram_init()Simon Glass2017-04-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | This allows us to use the same DRAM init function on all archs. Add a dummy function for arc, which does not use DRAM init here. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> [trini: Dummy function on nios2] Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* board_f: Drop return value from initdram()Simon Glass2017-04-051-3/+5
| | | | | | | | | At present we cannot use this function as an init sequence call without a wrapper, since it returns the RAM size. Adjust it to set the RAM size in global_data instead, and return 0 on success. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
* board_f: Drop board_type parameter from initdram()Simon Glass2017-04-051-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | It looks like only cm5200 and tqm8xx use this feature, so we don't really need it in generic code. Drop it and have the users access gd->board_type directly. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
* usb: fsl: Rename fdt_fixup_dr_usbSriram Dash2016-09-272-2/+2
| | | | | | | | The function fdt_fixup_dr_usb is specific to fsl/nxp. So, make the function name explicit and rename fdt_fixup_dr_usb into fsl_fdt_fixup_dr_usb. Signed-off-by: Sriram Dash <sriram.dash@nxp.com>

* gdsys: Drop print_fpga_state functionTom Rini2016-07-221-8/+0
| | | | | | | | | | On most platforms the print_fpga_state function is never called. Only on dlvision-10g do we, so in that case inline it. Drop it from everywhere else to avoid extra strings. * mpc83xx: Add strider boardDirk Eibach2015-11-124-0/+518
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The gdsys strider board is based on a Freescale MPC8308 SOC. It boots from NOR-Flash, kernel and rootfs are stored on SD-Card. On board peripherals include: - 1x 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet (optional) - Lattice ECP3 FPGA connected via eLBC Signed-off-by: Dirk Eibach <dirk.eibach@gdsys.cc> [trini: Drop setting CONFIG_SYS_GENERIC_BOARD, this is always true now] Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* fdt: Allow ft_board_setup() to report failureSimon Glass2014-11-211-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This function can fail if the device tree runs out of space. Rather than silently booting with an incomplete device tree, allow the failure to be detected. Unfortunately this involves changing a lot of places in the code. I have not changed behvaiour to return an error where one is not currently returned, to avoid unexpected breakage. Eventually it would be nice to allow boards to register functions to be called to update the device tree. This would avoid all the many functions to do this. However it's not clear yet if this should be done using driver model or with a linker list. This work is left for later.
